I was born in Manila, Philippines, on March 23, 1986. I’m the son of an engineer and a housewife. I have a sister and she’s five years younger than me.
When I was young, I had an interest with computers and excelled at it in school. I was also interested in art and found a way to combine them growing up using my dad’s Windows 98.
In college, I took up Information Technology and pursued digital media. I designed for the web and also coded it to make it come to life. Photoshop and a code editor have been my bread and butter since then.
I also got hooked to photography. I think it aligns very well into my skill sets and added a source of inspiration creatively. I taught myself everything there is to know about it and all I ever wanted was to travel the world and shoot.
I can say that after graduating, most of the jobs that I got into were all the ones that used my skills as a web designer. I think that the best thing about working is when you are utilized for what you can do and you enjoy it. I’m lucky to be blessed with both.
In 2011, I decided to go to Singapore to find a better career for myself and to my soon-to-be-wife. In 2013, we got married and had a son a year after that. Having a family changed me a lot, but it didn’t change who I am as an artist and a digital enthusiast.
Skipping into the future, I still find myself updated with all that’s happening to the web with all its technological advancements. I can see myself working with people who, just like me, seek to improve usability and has a vision to make the web a better experience for all.
